 Attend Forum programs and events as a GUEST (up to three per year).

 Approach a trusted member about sponsorship.

 Complete the membership application form and submit to your sponsor with resume attached (strongly recommended).

 Await the outcome of the review process.

How to Sponsor

Sponsors are key to maintaining the profile of the Forum membership.  Before agreeing to be a sponsor or approaching a new prospect you wish to sponsor, take some time to review our membership information and to interview or review the resume of the applicant.  If you have any questions about the eligibility of a potential applicant, please contact the administrator or the Membership Committee Chair.  Sponsorship is a choice, not an obligation, of Forum members.

 Review our membership profile and pre-requesites before considering sponsorship of an applicant.

 Invite and encourage the prospective member/applicant to Forum programs as a GUEST (up to three per year).

 Discuss and review the member application with the applicant before submitting.

 Complete the sponsorship form and submit the application package to the Forum Administrator.

 Await the outcome of the review process.

Membership Application Review Process

Completed application packages submitted by the sponsor should include:

  1. Sponsorship Form
  2. Membership Application
  3. Applicant’s Resume/CV (strongly recommended)

The Forum Administrator receives the completed package and forwards it to Membership Committee and board for review. The membership committee and board will evaluate new applications according to a rating scale. For each criterion, there will be a possible five points available. For membership consideration, it is expected that a potential candidate should score a minimum of 15 points.

Upon Board approval, the applicant is notified by mail/phone and/or email.  The review and approval process typically takes two weeks or less. If the process will take longer, the administrator will let the applicant and sponsor know by email.

If accepted, new members will pay the standard membership fee for their status (regular, emeritus or out-of-town), plus a one-time, new member fee of $50.
