A key aspect of the Forum’s mission is to provide programming and events which are relevant to the needs and interests of executive women and leaders in and around Delaware. Throughout the regular program year, from September to June, the Forum fills its Fall and Spring schedules with a variety of such programs that blend education, inpsiration, information and FUN.
The Forum’s Signature Programs are formal gatherings featuring a special speaker or group discussion format, which focus on various aspects of careers, life and local to global issues that impact or advance professional women. These breakfasts, luncheons and dinners, as well as special parties and receptions, are held at fun, social venues in the greater Wilmington, Delaware area. Signature programs are typically held about twice per month between September and June of each program year.
Coffee and Conversations
Coffee and Conversations carries on a long-standing tradition of Forum of Executive members. Over a cup of joe at a favorite local spot, these monthly gatherings give members and friends the opportunity for fluid, lively discussion about life, careers, transitions and more, in a casual setting. Though loosely structured, these discussions are lightly but effectively guided by a well-known Forum member, Kay Ford of Drexel University, who moderates various topics. (formerly Coffee and Careers).
A Few Friends
A Few Friends is all about fun! Over the summer months of June, July and August, when regular programming is on hiatus, members like to get together with A Few Friends to relax and unwind, without any formal agenda. This series of meet-ups typically occurs every other week throughout the summer and may vary from cocktails to bike rides to shopping over lunch… and anything in between! A Few Friends highlights the supportive relationships forged and strengthened through membership.View Program List View Program Calendar
Members are welcome to come to as many or as few programs and events as they can throughout the year. Forum members have busy schedules, so our program committee works hard to build the Fall and Spring schedules with a range of times, days of the week, venues and topics to choose from.
While attendance is not always possible, our board recommends that members strive to attend at least three Signature Programs and one or two of our A Few Friends and Coffee and Conversation meet-ups each year. This level of engagement makes the most of the membership experience.
Signature Program registration for members are reasonably priced and vary depending on the venue and meal options. There is no charge for our other meet-ups. Members may register and pay for guests, or they may forward the registration page so that guests can pay and register seperately.
Program registration is available online with the option to pay by Credit Card or by Check. Members who opt to “Pay by Check” are responsible for bringing the appropriate check to the venue. Cash payments are only accepted in exact amount (no change available at venues). Registration via email is discouraged.
Guests are welcome to attend most Forum programs and events, with the exception of a handful of Members Only events each year. Members are encouraged to invite guests, especially fellow women leaders and executives who will find a unique benefit from the experience.
Guests may attend up to three programs each year, between September and June, with the expressed invitation or accompaniment of a member.
Prospective members should attend two or three Forum programs before applying.
In general, guest registration is priced at $5-$10 above the member cost for Signature Programs. Guests who register independently should indicate the respective member on their registration form.

When a program is cancelled due to inclement weather, a speaker cancellation or similar unforeseen circumstances, all registrants will have the option to be refunded the amount of registration.
